The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus, also known as the Mercedes-Benz W904, is a model of van-based minibus produced by Mercedes-Benz and EvoBus since 1995. Based on Mercedes-Benz's van of the same name, the Sprinter replaced the Mercedes-Benz LT2-derived minibus and also later the Vario.

The Sprinter has seen success globally. Rebadged Sprinters are also sold by Volkswagen as the Volkswagen Crafter, while they are built under licence in the United States by Freightliner Trucks. The Sprinter mainly competes with the slightly more popular Ford Transit/Tourneo minibus.

The Sprinter family range also includes passenger vans, conversion vans, cargo vans, and cab-chassis vans; these are known internally as the W901, W902, W903 and W905 respectively. The minibus Sprinter variant is known internally as the W904.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinters have sold well in all markets, including the United Kingdom.

Sprinter City[]

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter City is a larger derivative of the usual Sprinter, produced since 1995. It is fully low floor and available in three different variants - the Sprinter City 35, Sprinter City 65 and Sprinter City 77. The latter can carry a maximum of forty passengers (sixteen seated) and has three axles, making it one of the largest van-based minibuses ever produced.
